Even though we don't boast a Palm Beach pedigree, we nevertheless appreciate the panache of rooms done in pure WASP style. Who can resist the riot of pattern and color, the bright and shiny lacquered surfaces, the Asian influences, and vintage rattan that remind of vestiges of days long gone, especially when the look is re-imaged with an eye towards modern living? Palm Beach style has incredible longevity. Rooms designed by David Hicks are still very much on trend today, thanks in part to interior designer Jonathan Adler, who has re-invented Palm Beach chic into a hipster aesthetic—just check out the Adler-designed Parker Hotel In the hopes of gleaning advice on putting together a room that reeks of Palm Beach, we chatted with five designers from around the country, who have the look down pat. (And not a one hails from Florida!) Hear from three of them below. Then click here for the rest.
