Which "Parenthood" Sibling Are You?

Parenthood

The Braverman family from "Parenthood" (all "Parenthood" images provided by NBC)

NBC TV series "Parenthood" shows what many families are really like but don't want to admit: A close-knit but entirely dysfunctional group of loving, unique and outright nutty characters. And people are watching the show, now in its second season—perhaps because they identify with the honest depictions of family members on it. (In fact, total listings for "Parenthood" DVDs are up 30 percent in the past 30 days compared to the prior period.) Take this quiz to find out which of "Parenthood's" Braverman siblings you best resemble:

1. As a teen, your curfew was 11 pm. On average, you probably came home around:

a. 11:01 – You weren’t always perfectly on time, but you never got in trouble because of it.

b. 10:50 – You gave yourself a 10 minute buffer to make sure you got home on time.

c. 11:15 – You didn’t mean to get in late; you just weren’t really paying attention to the time.

d. Past midnight – Let’s just say you didn’t even have an average time of return!

2. One of your siblings comes to you for advice. You’re most likely to:

a. Listen to her problems for a long time before giving her one short and sweet piece of advice that solves the entire issue.

b. Interrupt her rant to give her a list of things she needs to do in order  to get the situation straightened out.

c. Jump for joy that someone came to you for advice. (Then you’ll need to be reminded to actually give her your advice.)

d. Stall, stall, stall. Then call another sibling to find out what she would do.

3. Friends would most likely describe your fashion style as:

 a. Preppy

b. Corporate

c. Boho

d. Hipster

4. Your parents were cleaning out the attic and found some of your old childhood items. They’re likely to have found:

a. Your little league gear and a bunch of old trophies.

b. The campaign signs you made when you ran for class president.

c. Your old sketchpads and music collection.

d. Your rusty bicycle, with the bell still attached.

5. The fam needs someone to host Thanksgiving dinner this year. You tell them you can’t have it at your house because:

a. You have way too much on your plate already. Why can’t another sibling handle it for once? (But after a while you’ll probably agree to host it anyway.)

b. Work is crazy, so you’re likely to have to stay at the office ‘til the last minute on Turkey Day. Sorry, but you just don’t have time to prepare.

c. You’re kind of in between houses this year, and Mom and Dad don’t want to host Thanksgiving when they’re already hosting you.

d. They’re kidding, right? You don’t have enough space to fit even half of your family for dinner, and you certainly don’t have enough utensils.

6. Someone in your family tells you a secret. You’re most likely to:

a. Keep it closely guarded, until eventually you find out that everyone in your family knows it anyway.

b. Ask everyone if they know about so-and-so’s secret, thereby giving it away entirely.

c. Assume your entire family knows the secret already, so you talk about it openly.

d. Cover your ears to try to escape being told the secret in the first place—you know it’s only going to lead to more family drama.

7. You and some friends make plans to get together for dinner at:

a. Your house for a casual, home-cooked meal.

b. The new restaurant that just opened in town.

c. The bar at a local joint that has live music.

d. The diner that has the best waffles around.

If you answered mostly A's … You're Adam Braverman

Adam BravermanAdam Braverman's the central pillar of the "Parenthood" family. Whenever there's a problem, Adam (played by actor Peter Krause) is the first person other family members seek out, but they're lucky if they can find him. He's busy working in one of the top positions of a major shoe company, and his wife, teenage daughter Hattie and son Max (who has Asperger's) keep him on his toes at all times.

Like Adam, you're the golden child of the family. A perpetual trophy winner, you excel at work and at home. Siblings, spouses, kids, parents and friends count on you because you're so stable, and they all come to you for advice. Only problem? You're probably going to need your own therapist because of them.

Adam Braverman's family set a goal to come in first place in a walk to raise awareness for autism in honor of Max. They took home the winner's trophy.

If you answered mostly B's … You're "Parenthood's" Julia Braverman

Julia BravermanJulia (played by actress Erika Christensen) is the type-A personality of the "Parenthood" bunch. A former star swimmer and now a workaholic power attorney, Julie is always sporting a power suit but never seems to get enough time with her stay-at-home husband, Joel, and five-year-old daughter, Sydney.

If you matched with Julia Braverman, you're probably very good at being a perfectionist. And your controlling tendenciesalthough well-intended and generally right on targetare likely get you in some hot water with the more easygoing members of your family. Your best bet? Try to let go and relax.

Julia almost certainly carries an organizer devoted to moms on the move.

If you answered mostly C's … You're Sarah Braverman

Sarah BravermanJobless, homeless and often car-less when her "Crapmobile" breaks down, Sarah (played by actress Lauren Graham) has the least to lose and the most to gain. She and her two teenage kids, Amber and Drew, moved in with her parents in a bid to get their struggling family back on track.

Like Sarah Braverman, hard times have probably made you stronger. And despite the fact that you might sometimes feel down and out, people are constantly telling you how talented you are. Your free spirit, creativity and tenacity may surprise you with unexpected successes.

If you answered mostly D's … You're Crosby Braverman

Crosby BravermanDespite his childlike tendencies (like insisting on doing laundry at Mom and Dad's), Crosby Braverman (played by actor Dax Shepard) is in some ways the Braverman child most desperate to grow up. Even as an adult, Crosby's maintained his status as the baby of the family. But after learning he has a child, Jabbar, with on-and-off love Jasmine, Crosby's forced to confront his issues with maturity.

If you're like Crosby, you're probably the first person to crack a joke when times get tough. But that goofy exterior is often a means of holding your cards close to your vest. Growing up means more than just taking responsibility; it means being vulnerable, too.

In an emotional episode, Crosby handed his childhood bicyclesimilar to this onedown to his own little boy, Jabbar.
