Trendlet Alert: Chain Link Tchotchkes

The look: Chain link motifs frame mirrors and rugs while actual metalwork adorns items like vases and tables.
Seen on: Models and celebs have been layering on the hardware on runways and red carpets for a while now, and though we spotted a one pager on the look in Metropolitan Home last year, we think the trend has only just begun on the home front.
Loved by: Indie accessory designer Sarah Cihat in collaboration with friend and metalworker Michael Miller creates a collection called Taken that combines Cihat’s ceramic vessels with Miller’s delicate links. It’s the juxtaposition of materials that inspires Cihat: “We love the cold, hard, opaque metal married with the soft, warm, translucent porcelain.” Bruce Glickman, co-owner of Tribeca design shop Duane Modern, offers a hearty chain link brushed iron Russell Floor Lamp, which he says he's considering translating into a table lamp too.
