Throwing a Bollywood-Inspired Bash for New Year's Eve
While some live for the promise of a rockin’ New Year’s Eve, Dick Clark aside, others go into automatic isolation at the thought of a sparkly ball (even if projected on a flat screen) and Champagne countdown among throngs of strangers. Thinking there must be some middle ground between sloppy, anonymous (not to mention expensive) party going and a quiet (make that dull) night at home in flannel and fuzzy slippers, we have our hearts set on throwing a fantabulous, one-of-a-kind soiree for our nearest and dearest.
Although two years out from the release of “Slumdog Millionaire,” we have yet to get over the sparkly splendor and uplifting spirit of the movie’s closing scene. It’s piqued our interest in all things India, especially Indian cinema, or as more popularly known, Bollywood. The colors, the shine, the splendor. Why not create an environment, at least for one night, that’s all out glam? We curated all the makings (minus the curry and bubbly) of a spectacular Indian-themed evening, our very own Bollywood bash.
