Scene Stealing Star Style: Over-the-Knee Boots

Sorry, Audrina. We can’t give you all the credit for the thigh-high boots trend. Savvy fashion followers know that Kate Moss has been rocking the pretty daring, “Pretty Woman”-inspired style for a few years now—it just took some time for the rest of us to come on board her style train.

Along with “The Hills” star, who wore her over-the-knee boots with a glam glitter dress at a recent MTV awards show, celebs Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna and Kim Kardashian have all rocked the look on and off the red carpet.

If you’re going to go out and get a pair of these toasty modern day legwarmers, a few tips:

-  Avoid wearing with leggings or “jeggings” (jean leggings). Commit to more substantial skinny jeans made of real denim, so you come off looking chic over cheap.

-  If you pair your pair with a short dress, take a cue from Audrina and keep your skin-baring to a minimum. Too-revealing dress plus jaw-dropping heels does not get you bonus sexy points.

-  Finally, if spindly stilettos like these are a little too street walker for your taste, try a pair of flats or wedge heels.
