eBay is genius when you want to jump on a fashion train that's gearing up, especially when it's one that's been around the tracks before. That train right now is headed towards scarf print station—a stop that, by all accounts, should be on everyone's itinerary come fall.

Not only does eBay have a treasure trove of iconic scarves—which of course can be reworked into garments or cushions or framed works of art—but it also boasts many vintage scarf print clothes that could pass for straight off the rack or runway.

To find a scarf to fit your fashion look, search eBay for the term "scarf" plus the name of the various design houses known for this versatile accessory—Hermes, Versace and Pucci are good options to start with. You can also try the technical term "foulard" (a printed, lightweight silk fabric made into scarves and neckties), for which sales on eBay are up 5 percent this month over the previous period.
