eBay Mobile Boutique: New York Street Style
On November 20th, eBay's first ever pop-up shop makes its debut in New York, right smack in the middle of on 5th Avenue and 57th Street, and it's open for 10 days! To honor the occasion, we took to the streets on a lazy Saturday to see what's going in the Manhattan style scene this winter. It looks as if the uniform this season is very much about classic American with a dash of French and Japanese thrown in.

Irene Edwards, special projects editor, 34
Where: Midtown Manhattan.
Her Personal Style: "I have total French-girl envy, so most of the time, I'm attempting to look like a cross between a 1960's gamine and a sailor. I'm small, so I like everything to be neat, slim, and perfectly in proportion."
What She's Wearing: "I'm wearing an old Marc Jacobs military-style coat that was a major splurge when I bought it, but it has lasted me a few seasons, so it was a worthy investment. I'm also wearing a camel-colored scarf from the Gap; black Wolford tights; these cool tweed J. Crew wellies from a couple of years ago; and my go-to bag, the Jerome Dreyfuss lambskin "Billy" that I got on eBay."
Favorite Stores: "I'm on a shopping hiatus right now, but I do love Bird in Brooklyn; it's one of the best-edited boutiques ever for womenswear. Also, Ludivine in Greenwich Village and Anica in San Francisco, both of which carry great French lines like Heimstone and Vanessa Bruno. But most of all, I truly love vintage shopping. Some of my best finds ever came from the antique and junk shops in the Hudson River Valley and Miami, which I'm convinced has the best thrift shopping in the entire country."
Can't Live Without: "I love me a good scarf (even in summer!). They're indispensable; they keep you warm, add a hit of color, and make an outfit look more polished. I feel incomplete without one. And there are so many ways to wear them.»
Holiday Wish List: "All I really, truly want for the holidays is to have my loved ones around me. But if pressed, I would say a few old books, vintage issues of great fashion magazines, and anything from Isabel Marant's winter line."
