Shopping with. . . Online Eco-Mag GreenMyStyle

Killer stilettos, style and beauty secrets, juicy celeb gossip, and a carefully curated list of vintage goodies. Sounds like a favorite magazine, right? Try a very of-the-moment virtual version of one, complete with a focus on an eco-friendly lifestyle. Billing itself as "your daily eco glossy," U.K.-based GreenMyStyle.com is an online treasure trove of the latest in style and sustainability, delivered by founder and editor-in-chief Sarah Woodhead (pictured left) and her team.
Armed with 15 years of experience as a journalist, editor, and creative director in publishing and online media, Woodhead leveraged her professional background to create a media business that matched her passions and values. She started Delightful Media, an ethical media company that specializes in glossy magazines for smart, stylish women who are conscientious about what they buy and how they live. In addition to Greenmystyle, which launched in 2008, Delightful Media also publishes QueensOfVintage.com, a leading online glossy for vintage lovers.
Though web-based “green” magazines and blogs are practically a dime a dozen these days, GreenMyStyle stands out from the others for its smart layout. fashion savvy, and definition of "eco-friendly" as items that are not only made of green materials and with green practices, but also ones that already exist in the world (read: pre-loved pieces and vintage picks). Among our favorite sections on the site: Daily eBay, an article highlighting a must-have on the online marketplace. Woodhead explains that she wants her users to be able to say, “Hey, my wardrobe is part vintage, part Madison Avenue, and part eco, with a chunk of eBay pre-loved stuff, and that’s OK with me!”
Woodhead doesn’t stop at merely giving earth-friendly fashion tips. She has her readers covered on everything from London Fashion Week street-style to festive eco-chic gift ideas to advice from celebrity organic hair stylists. She even packs an extra punch by bringing in experts to talk to readers about style, décor, and beauty. Some of the site’s most honored gurus include designer Wayne Hemingway, British Vogue Editor Alex Shulman, and eco-design authority Olivier Heath.
The site also features its fair share of celeb eco-gossip. The GreenMyStyle team's favorite sightings? Well, there was that one afternoon when they spotted Orlando Bloom (swoon) and his dog at the favorite London organic gastro-pub, The Duke of Cambridge. They also tend to run into Livia Giuggioli and, if they’re lucky, her husband Colin Firth (double swoon), at Eco, the couple's green boutique on Chiswick High Road in London.
We asked these eBay addicts, lead by Fashion Editor Maria Kaski, to customize a Daily eBay for us for every day of the work week. Here's what they came up with:
