Heavy metal jewelry has moved beyond goths and rockers and established itself firmly among the fashion set.  The trend (if we should even still call it that, it has become so mainstream) showcases a mix of medieval armour, tribal, punk and industrial jewelry styles with an outcome that screams bad-ass chic.

Heavy metal rings, in particular, are a huge fashion trend for spring. More of a street style then a fashion runway trend, they have been embraced by celebs and fashion followers. With nail art, specifically this summer’s hottest new "crackle" look, there is no better way to showcase your stylish manicure than by drawing attention to it with a big ring.

I jumped onto the heavy metal jewelry bandwagon when just a few years ago, I watched the 1995 movie "Hackers,"  starring Jonny Lee Miller and Angelina Jolie as members of a crew of high school computer hackers. Angelia Jolie’s character's style, a mix of futuristic and goth, was made complete with a silver armor ring. After a long search, I found my very own armor ring and have pretty much worn it ever since.

No longer such a search needed. This jewelry trend can be found everywhere from mass retailers to independent designers (Meredith Kahn of Made Her Think has some great styles) to eBay, of course.

We searched eBay for some heavy metal rings you might like to call your own.
