Happy Hanukkah

Hanukkah, the Jewish holiday that commemorates the rededication of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem after its desecration by the forces of the King of Syria, begins tonight. And Jewish families around the country have been putting up Hanukkah decorations in their homes in the spirit of the holiday and stocking up on Hanukkah gifts to exchange on each of the eight nights.

We looked at sales for items with Hanukkah-related terms in the listings for a recent 30-day period (10/15-11/13) and compared them to the 30 days prior and found the following: "menorah" was up 77 percent; "Hanukkah" was up 136 percent; "dreidel" was up 88 percent and "Hanukkah candles" was up 295 percent.  Listings for each of these traditional Hanukkah terms were up 42 percent and higher, as sellers sought to capitalize on a seasonal yearning for all things Hanukkah.

We took to eBay to round up Hanukkah-themed items, from the silly (Silly Bandz, that is) to the traditional (menorahs, dreidels, Hanukkah books) and found the following.
