But her work is not about hype; the design and the materials she is using are truly outstanding."

Phillip Lim and Dries van Noten: "I tend to shy away from strong colour in favour of muted combinations of tone, texture and pattern and quirky but subtle design details. Phillip Lim's mens collection had so many brilliantly versatile pieces, which I would probably wear until threadbare. His multi-animal pattern knit with scarf neckline ditches its usually kitsch connotations in favour of a more graphic look in grey marl and black. There were lots of great coats from Dries Van Noten, too, but my favorite was a French navy, bound-edge belted trench with contrasting reveres in a black and white minimal check."
