7 Ways to Add Sparkle Around Your Home

Glitter Guide

5 Delicious Desserts

As fans of Glitter Guide since its inception, we doused ourselves in sprinkles when we had the chance to have some girl talk with the site's founder, Taylor Sterling. Sterling, who's based in the Bay area, also runs Sterling Style, a pink-drink-filled, sparkly-dog-collared-ed, ultra-feminine personal style blog. She's been an intern at Women's Wear Daily in Los Angeles and worked in retail as a recruiter and manager, but says it's only now that she is truly doing what she's most passionate about:"working in fashion and lifestyle online. I love that my job is to find things that will inspire women!"

The Inside Source: What made you decide to launch the site?

Taylor Sterling: I wanted to create a daily destination centered on inspiration. I started thinking about all the things that I enjoy and the website slowly evolved from there. We cover everything from fashion to food and our goal is to provide a variety of ways to help you sparkle from the inside out!

The Inside Source: In three words, describe the essence of Glitter Guide.

Taylor Sterling: Feminine. Colorful. Optimistic.

The Inside Source: What is a guilty pleasure for you and your team of contributors?

Taylor Sterling: Well, I wouldn’t call it “guilty” but we love searching online for glittery items! For example, we love glittery shoes, disco balls for decorating and edible glitter for baking.

The Inside Source: What is one trend you have recently featured on Glitter Guide that you want to try?

Taylor Sterling: We recently featured a story about finding pastels to wear during the winter. I love all the layered pastel color blocking happening right now and would love to try this trend.

The Inside Source: What are some perfectly Glitter Guide-like products you are totally lusting over right now?

Taylor Sterling: I would love a pair of Miu Miu shoes (I am searching for a fab pair for my wedding in August), unique art for my home and a Lucite ghost chair.

The Inside Source: Do you shop on eBay?

Taylor Sterling: "I visit eBay daily. I love to online shop and I use eBay for sold out, unique, and vintage finds. Right now I am obsessed with scouring eBay for home goods."

We went searching on eBay for just those items, plus a few others that Taylor tells us she and her team would love to add to their Glitter Guide must-haves.
