eBay's "Be Her Hero" Mother's Day Campaign

Through April 28, eBay's "Be Her Hero" campaign is offering a variety of online charity auctions for Mother's Day gifts donated by celebrity moms to support women-oriented nonprofits.

Along with a Kate Spade shopping spree, and chance to meet Meryl Streep and Ashley Judd (all benefiting Women for Women International), you can also big to snag a closet-full of designer clothing and trendy accessories previously owned by model Liya Kebede and whole bunch of one-of-a-kind fashions being auctioned off by top fashion designer Tory Burch. Proceeds from the Liya Kebede charity auction will benefit The Liya Kebede Foundation, which provides healthcare for expectant mothers, while the Tory Burch items will benefit the The Tory Burch Foundation, which provides economic support to American women and their families.

Says Timothy Paul Myers of the work: “Each piece is made from Nail Gun Rosettes, the kind of nails used for roofing.  I had discovered the rosettes at the hardware store and thought it an interesting challenge to take an unlikely/industrial material and create something elegant and refined. These are some of my favorite pieces that I have been part of creating for Tory.”
