Style Stalking Lucky Creative Director Andrea Linett

 

Would we sound like style stalkers if our 2010 New Year's resolution was to try to dress like Andrea Linett? The Lucky magazine Creative Director's look is so signature, you'd know it was her if her outfit floated into a room without her body inside of it: Lots of denim and tough boots, covetable but not over-the-top vintage accessories (she loves jewelry), and her loose wavy hair come together in a way that is effortless yet spot-on, and most importantly, true to her creative spirit.

Linett got her start as a receptionist at Sassy magazine, where she ultimately became Fashion Editor. (One of her biggest claims to fame at Sassy, aside from the spreads she styled, came from her discovery of then unknown Chloe Sevigny back in the ‘90s. Chloe not only interned for the magazine, but also modeled in its shoots, which helped to catapult her to the star she is today.) After Sassy, Andrea, along with fellow Sassy alum Kim France, went on to launch shopping bible Lucky in 2000. Linett's sense of style is evident in the magazine's pages, especially in her own page, Fashion Babble. You can also get her tips and tricks on the latest trends and how to wear them on the Lucky website and study up on her fashion sense in two Lucky books (The Lucky Shopping Manual and the Lucky Guide to Mastering Any Style), which she co-authored with Kim France.
